Odemwingie out! Akpoborie defends Keshi

Odemwingie expressed displeasure at being dropped from the national team and might have played his last for the team having said in a tweet: "Keshi has no footballing reasons not to invite me but is not saying the truth. He is still in my plans he said haha coach u no dey [you’re not in] my plans.

Akpoborie said there is really no future for the West Brom man in the present Super Eagles for the Nations Cup.

"A situation where you have Ahmed Musa, Victor Moses and Ejike Uzoenyi shoud not warrant any coach to begin to look in the direction of Osaze," Akpoborie told Goal.com. "The three players are enough for whatever we want to do from the wings.

"It is because Keshi even considered him that made him rant on twitter. I believe he is entitled to his opinion and should state his case but not insult people because he was not selected for the final phase of camping in Faro.

"If Keshi had included him in the 32 man squad, he will not come to twitter to insult people. Like I said, he is entirely entitled to his opinions, but he should know how to express them.

"Osaze is supposed to one of the players that the young boys should model their careers after. But he has spoilt it with the way he has handled this issue. He is no doubt a good player, but this is not the way to make his grievance known.

"He should show good examples at all times," said Akpoborie.

Argentinian Woman To Wed Twin Sister's Killer - hmmm she get plans!

A woman's hopes of marrying the man convicted of killing her twin sister have reportedly been put on hold after her mother asked for the wedding to be stopped.
Edith Casas had planned to marry her fiancee Victor Cingolani in a prison in Pico Truncado, Argentina, on Friday.
However, the national newspaper Clarin quoted her mother's lawyer as saying the ceremony had been "temporarily suspended".
Marcelina Orellana reportedly wrote to the local registrar after claiming that her daughter was not in the right frame of mind.
Previously, she said: "We know this will be hard because she is an adult, but we will go to court to try to have her examined by a psychiatrist.
"As far as we are concerned, she does not know what she is doing."
Cingolani is serving a 13-year sentence for murdering his 19-year-old model girlfriend Johana Casas, whose body was found with two gunshot wounds in 2010.
Ms Casas, 22, said her husband-to-be is innocent and described him as somebody "who would not hurt a fly".
She accused her mother of abandoning her and her sister, and said: "She cannot say I need a psychiatrist because I am fully aware of what I am doing."
Cingolani, who insists he is not guilty of the murder, added: "I loved Johana, but I love Edith. I have a beautiful bride and I am going to marry her."
A court will now decide whether the wedding can go ahead, the newspaper report said.

Oshiobaba's plans for 2013

Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, said weekend, that the state government will, in the first week of January 2013, organise a town hall meeting on how to get the local government administrations in the state deliver more dividends of democracy to the people.
Also to hold same time, is a security summit to address the security challenges in the state, while Central Hospital, Benin, which suffered a setback in the outgoing year, will be completed and equipped with modern facilities.
Oshiomhole, at a meeting with traditional rulers across the state at Government House, Benin, said: “We need your support to make the local governments work for the people.  In a democracy, the only thing that is constant is change. We cannot continue like this at the local government level. We cannot have local governments that are there to pay salaries alone.”
The governor, who expressed dismay over the activities of the local governments, said among other reforms to be carried out were trimming down of wasteful expenditure, which will be diverted to capital projects such as the building of markets in the respective local governments.
“I will seek your support to restore sanity to our public life.  We have to carry out major reforms across the state and we will need to be more firm,” he added.
